Our Story

Brand Kaleidoscope was developed in the labs of NYU and The Hebrew University. For years we have been doing research with companies and marketing executives.  We realized that while marketing has become a data-driven domain, brand management still relies on heuristics, speculations, and creative interpretations. 

 

Brand Kaleidoscope is a unique method which combines the best of consumer psychology and AI. The consumer psychology front-end uses crowdsourcing to communicate with your audience and create visual collages for brands. The AI image analytics back-end analyzes and interprets these collages.

We use unique AI-based image processing tools  to decode the hidden space of brand associations and map them on a proprietary space of 150 content dimensions and 15 color palettes. No need to predefine associations - the unsupervised machine learning algorithms automatically discover new associations and metaphors.

The mathematical models connect the marketing insights to performance KPIs, so you know the return on branding decisions. We translate the results of the analysis to recommendations for brand creative decisions, brand competitive positioning, and brand differentiation.

B-VEP maps the digital collages created for your brand using the platform into a meta-space of 150 associations, directly linked to brand personality and brand equity metrics. Tested on 300 large US brands using ~5000 collages from ~2000 respondents.

How to choose the right visuals to serve your brand positioning? B-VEP allows scanning photo repositories according to their fit to the associations of the brand. You can choose the most representative photos, or photos that will take your brand to a new positioning you desire. Prof. Renana Peres

Prof. Renana Peres  is a faculty member at the Hebrew University Business School. She served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, and at NYU. Prof. Peres has unique expertise in modelling social and market processes using advanced analytical tool. Prof. Peres is an expert in marketing analytics and signal processing.  She has a long standing collaboration with industry partners such as Nielsen, Young and Rubicam, the Keller Fay group, major industry players, and leading advertising agencies. 

Prof. Peres has technological background and holds a BSc and MSc degree in Physics. Moreover, she has successful entrepreneurial background. Prof. Peres was the founder and first CEO of Persay LTD, a subsidiary of Comverse Technology, which developed novel technologies for voice and image processing and has been working with major banks, telecom service providers, distributors and investors.

Daria Dzyabura

Daria Dzyabura is a professor of Marketing at New York University (NYU) Stern School of Business, and at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and the New Economic School (NES).

She received her PhD in management and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Professor Dzyabura is an internationally recognized expert in image processing, artificial intelligence methods in marketing, as well as collecting information about consumer preferences and developing new products. 

Dzyabura is actively consulting to top executives in issues of image processing and machine learning. Her recent study of visual consumer associations was recognized as a finalist for the John D.C. Little Award and the Frank M. Bass Award from the INFORMS Society of Marketing Science.

Sophie Melnik Amitay 

Sophie Melnik is the co-founder of the G-CMO forum and a seasoned global CMO, with expertise in both the fields of business and research in the area of Marketing.  She served as the deputy CEO of one of the leading advertising agencies in Israel and was the Chief Marketing Organization in several global firms such as Taboola, Outbrain, and the Joy Venture Capital. She is responsible for the successful transfer of marketing research technologies into functional working products used in marketing agencies worldwide. 

Melnik is considered to be one of the most capable executives in the Israeli global marketing industry and has rich experience in building research-based tools for practitioner use. She is frequently stated in the Israeli media as an exceptional marketing leader.
